Part of the discussion on Saturday was, "What do you want to achieve?" It was then that we realized that setting a "WINNER" would be impossible. We all have different goals. So, what are yours? By announcing it, you can A: know what you personally want to work towards, B: We can help you along the way with encouragement and checking in and C: You can determine how to measure success of the program.
So, it might be pounds, inches, sanity, toning, eating habits. You name it, it's your goal and it's RIGHT!

I'll start!
I must maintain my weight within 2 pounds of 159.
I want to exercise 4-5 times per week, of atleast 1/2 hour.
I must maintain my healthy eating habits to control my genetically gifted: High cholesterol, blood pressure and depression. Wasn't God nice to me?
Goals: I must increase exercise and decrease food especially sweets to improve my health and my weight. I plan to do some type of exercise tape for 30 minutes at least 3 times a week, use my exercise equipment at home at least 5 times a week, go for a walk at least once a week.
So far I've done one 30 minute exercise tape and I've only gained 2 lbs. It's those dang muscles weighting more than fat - ha!

My goal is to Tone up. So I will measure that in inches by measuring my arms, legs, thighs, hips, waist ect. and workout with one of my DVD's 5 days a week.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit curves and workout with one of my Mary Kay customers. She got me in on a visitors pass. So I got that workout in yesterday. I did take advantage of being weighed while I was there and found since Dec 19th I have gained 2 1/2 pounds..so that's extra motivation.
By the way Leeann, sorry I forgot to remind anyone who wanted to weigh Sat to use your scale after I asked you to bring it!

I'm totally excited. I've done another exercise tape and lived! These tapes are so old but I like them. No inpact but great stretches and strength building. Got my old exercise mat out and Kinsey said - it's so small. Cassidy said - we were smaller when we played with it last. I had to laugh - I was smaller when I exercised with it last and it's been that long that the girls were small.
Sounds like Barb Wolverton wants to join out group. I'm shooting for Tues. & Thurs. at 7, Sat. at 9 and Sun. at 3 to go to the church and exercise.

I started tracking my food and activity on Sunday. I already dropped a few lbs! Yesterday I spent 4 hours cleaning 2 rooms in the basement! How's that for productive exersize! I am leaving on vacation Sat. I usually gain 7lbs. in a week of vacation. My goal is to lose 2 instead. Does anyone know how many calories are in a Margarita... this is going to be tough, Dave shouldn't drink alone!

How Many Calories ... in a Margarita
740 calories, according to this article on Forbes on the most fattening drinks. Considering that an average person should be consuming between 1500 and 2000 calories, that is a pretty scary number -- one margarita is the equivalent of half of your daily calories. And who just has one?
thanks courtney. a goal said outloud makes me accountable so here goes. i plan to exercise at least 5 days a week for an hour, seven if i can, and to cut down on snacking between meals. my over all goal is to lose 25 pounds for sure, 30 if i can.
