Catch Us Exercising

Place comments here as to where you might be walking or exercising and you'd like others to join you. It can be at church or where ever. There will be some exercise tapes, at the church to use. I'm setting some personal goals to go to the church on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursday at 7, Saturdays at 9 and Sundays at 3. Not this Tuesday though with the church dinner. Also times can be flexible if anyone needs them to be. No promises I'll be there those times but so far I've only missed one in the last 2 weeks - yeah. Nothing too strenuous and only for 30 minutes or so. - jk

Well I'm excited. I finally did an exercise tape today - first one in years I hate to say but I made it through. No one joined me but it was less embarrassing that way. I'm going to put it on my schedule to do every Sunday at 3 (that's adjustable). Kathy Becker wants to set a night of the week to do it as well. So post a day and time Kathy and let's get moving.

Well I'm a fallen Physette! But flying again tomorrow. I've eaten poorly because of some major stress this last two days. As you know I also missed one of the exercise times I had set. So I'll start anew in the morning with at least Elaine and whoever joins us.
I've attempted to put in most of your addresses so that you get an email when someone adds something to the blog. Haven't heard from Teena or Nancy for sure so I don't have them in yet. Nor Courtney who didn't want too many emails. There is a limit of 10 addresses. See those who can Sat. morning at 9 at the church - if you get this email in time or have gotten the previous emails.

Well - we did it - Kathy, Elaine, Amber, Courtney and myself did a 30 minutes exercise tape today at the church. Yes we moaned and groaned and complained about the skinny instructor on the tape but we made it through. We are hoping to give it another shot on Monday at 7 I believe. We aren't going to let that skinny instructor get the best of us.
So come join us or go anytime - the tapes are there. Just becareful of the TV - it tips easily.

Sorry I missed this morning, plans changed Thursday night with a unexpected trip to Omaha cuz Lacey was admitted to the hospital. All is well,...it is Kidney stones. So, we brought her home last night and I am "Nurse Roxie" again. We are hoping the stone passes soon. Her pain is under contol now thanks to meds. Have any of you ever had one? If so, any advice? One gal told me she would rather have 6 babies sideways than the pain of a kidney stone!! Yikes!
So, I will be doing my own ex. tape here at home. I got my walking DVD and an ex. ball DVD which I haven't had a chance to see yet. If anyone wants to see what they are like, let me know.

It's a Monday morning and a fresh start to our fitness goals. I know I over did at the Super Bowl party last night and I didn't even know what teams were playing until the end when I didn't win the pool. I do know that Tom Brady is pretty cute though since I saw him on Saturday Night Live. We are going to add Monday nights at 7 to our exercise schedule. So for whoever can make it Mon. 7, Tues, 7(except this Tues because of the dinner at the Senior Centor), Thurs, 7, Sat. 9 and Sun. at 3. (all flexible of course especially the Sat. & Sun.) So come as you are and when you are able. Any sore muscles from Sat.?

Update - we survived another night of exercise. Pats on the backs to Roxie, Courtney, Elaine, Amber and myself. Yeah. Saturday the church is busy so we are meeting at 9 at Courtney's for those that can make it. Be there or be a pear! Got that from Barb Wolverton - of course she wants to know who's bringing snacks - ha.

REGARDING SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 9!!!
BRING YOUR EXERCISE BALL if you have one... I have a great Pilates Exercise ball dvd that we can do.
If you aren't able to come on Saturday; but have a ball you're willing to lend; just drop it off at the parsonage! Please make sure your name is on it.

Since the Shrove Tuesday Dinner has been postponed; I'm going to walk very carefully over to church and do a tape. COME ON OVER, if you can!

Whoo! Hoo! We made it through another 1990's Cosmopolitan Tonetics video. It's great entertainment making fun of their hair and clothes and their skininess. Amber, Courtney, myself and our newest member Becky Neuhalfan made it through with minimal whining.

Next scheduled workout is Thurs. at 7 for those that can make it. Sat. at 9 is the one after that at Courtney's. Come have a ball - or should I say bring your ball if yuo have one.

Important question here for the group. How do you know what size ball to get? I got the smaller 22" one because I liked the other things with it but I'm thinking yikes - I could pop it. I also thought it might be easier to work with. Any tips?

In case anyone is interested. I'm going to try and go exercise Friday night at 7 as well. I'm getting hooked on it I guess. I went tonight all by myself and did a yoga relaxation tape - well it would have been relaxing if my body was that flexible - ha. So come on and join me tomorrow night - I might try out my new ball if I can get it blown up so I get used to it.

Sorry I've missed all the exercising. My mom had a heart attack on Tuesday, so I've been in Omaha since then. She's doing much better so hopefully I'll be home again soon! Do a couple of leg lifts for me!
